79 - Dirty coal power switch-off, temperatures soar and the joys of German baked goods

The country's top five most polluting coal-fired power plants are to be switched off in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. But it was no easy road to get there - there were protests after previous plans for a coal levy were announced. 

Also in this episode, we talk about hot hot heat: Germany's temperature got close to 40°C this week (104°F).
