This past December, for ten days, Jürgen was asked to come report from inside the ISIS controlled territory in Syria and Iraq. He did so and has since returned safely. This makes him the first western journalist to accomplish this task. He said he had dialog with the ISIS media media department for 7 months and was assured of his safety. He trusted them and decided to go.

The report that followed on his 10 days was seen around the world as this was a first of its kind.
Now, almost a month later, a new video has surfaced from Jürgen Todenhöfer. He has recently released a video from inside the Islamic State where he interviewed a IS fighter who was German.

The 13 minute video with the German living in Mosul Iraq told Jürgen that the Islamic State had far reaching ambitions and that they were coming for Europe. In this video, the IS fighter stated that Europe would be conquered but the IS would allow Christians and Jews to worship freely as long as they paid a protection tax.

Jürgen Todenhöfer endured quite a few uncomfortable situations ranging from being in close proximity to bombings to going over a day without food and water. He did this because he thought that this it was important for the world to have the knowledge.
