07 - Tax evasion, shooting elephants and the Leipzig Book Fair!

This week Germany shows that it is not afraid to go after possible unpaid taxes of well known figures, social benefits may become more available to those that were not eligible before, doing something outside of work that contrasts directly to your job might not be the best idea, and an upcoming event for book lovers.

  • Two well known politicians in the news spotlight concerning tax evasion.  
  • A new decision by the Court of Social Affairs rules in favor of an EU law over a German law.
  • Government employee in the Office of Conservation shows photos of himself after shooting an elephant.
